The First Amendment Was Added to the U.S. Constitution for a Reason.

And because of the First Amendment, there was a Second Amendment. The purpose of the Second Amendment was to enforce the First.

When Union thugs are hired and encouraged to squelch the speech of those individual citizens who oppose the rapid enactment of socialist policies in this Country, and the mainstream media is complicit with and encourages attacks on the basic right of Freedom of Speech, I get pissed. I’m beginning to think the Constitution has been completely thrown out the window. This health care crap violates about every single line of the Constitution. We are headed for a real need for our second ammendment rights.

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

It doesn’t say “provide general Welfare,” it says “promote…” Big difference.

Yes .. umm but …

The US Constitution may have many good things, but it is not infallible Holy Writ

Like all Human authored writings, it contains flaws and is not Perfekt = hence the need for Amendments

Does the 2nd Amendment really enforce the Citizen’s rights

….. certainly not those many (eg Children/Victims of Crime) who get shot

Thanks! I snatched a copy. I noticed that you have it linked to a YouTube video of Bob Marley’s “Get Up, Stand Up.” That’s cooool! I’ve never thought of linking to a vid that way.

I’ve been reducing the # of posts per page on my blog because the videos cause my machine to bog down so much. But I know that causes problems for people who have faster machines when they get only a few post titles from clicking on a tag or category. This may be a way to boost that # back up without overburdening my old-hunk-o-junk.
