cbull– I’m always thinking Road Trip. But I don’t wanna see riots. I want to see blizzards. Kudos on your well-deserved post hits, too.

There was a study done a few years ago by a gradeschool girl for a class project.

She decided to survey weather data collection sites in her area. The data collection equipment was little more than a box on stilts that recorded ambient temperatures and rainfall. She found that a large number were oddly placed next to heat generating sources, in asphalt parking lots, adjacent to tennis courts, heat exhaust ducts, etc. One was located next to a small rubbish incinerator.

I remember seeing her report online, and even Rush Limbaugh mentioned it once.

Anybody have a live link to the girl’s report? It’d be fun to repost.
