wheels-- Take the book to a local reprographics company, tell them what you're trying to do and they should be able to print on the heavy stuff. Otherwise you could print it yourself on bond and have them laminate it. It's not a copyright violation any more than ripping a cd into your music files.

I've got two "Build Your Own" papercraft books (tagline: So easy even an adult can do it) - one is for a Saturn V that, based on the cover photo) looks as though it would be somewhat over 5 feet when built, and the other is for the Empire State Building, and looks to be maybe 4 feet tall when assembled.

I haven't built either of them; I've been thinking about scanning each page in and printing a copy, just so that I can build them and keep the books. I'm not sure how I'd print on heavy cardstock, though.

I've also got a couple of papercraft projects I downloaded: a model of the ship from Firefly, and a model of a snowy owl (Hedwig), available from Canon.
