That squid is probably alive: no special effects.
I had dancing sushi at a restaurant: little live fish in a cup … swig them back … chew, chew, chew.

Plane– I figured it was the reaction to the salt in the soy sauce. You can get a muscle reaction from fresh frog legs and fish. I defer to your first hand experience, choo choo choo.
