Glad those things don’t leap, but these slugs did:
We’ve featured Doug & The Slugs before. That vid dates to 1980, and 20 years later (the late) Doug Bennett was still singing the same song.
There just aren’t enough snail and slug songs IMO, but here’s “Snails” by Sharks Took The Rest. Not exactly my cup of gastropodia, but at least they contributed to the movement.
MOR SNALE SONGS PLZ
Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra is just the thing to wind up this Saturday Matinee. Have a great weekend, folks, see you back here tomorrow.

Saw Doug & The Slugs a few times at Lulu’s in Kitchener, ON Canada. GREAT bar band as well as great tunes. Too Bad that Doug passed away far too soon. Lulu’s had the longest bar in the world at one time (an old KMart store). It was a $13.00 taxi ride home at the time. Still listen to their tunes regularly.

David– Sounds like Doug & The Slugs sounds had a loyal following, and anyone who remembers the taxi fare just didn’t do it right. =)

LOL. Knew it because I had to make sure I had the taxi fare set aside and not spend it on shooters. I KNEW that I would not be be able to drive by the end of the first set. I was…..responsible, at least about boozin’ and driving. Maybe not so responsible about other things :)
