Hydrothermal Vent Polychaete Worm Viewed Under An Electron Microscope. Nicholas Gayet 2015

Polychaetes worms are fascinating. One species are called “Zombie Worms” and includes the Osedax mucofloris, discovered in 2005. Its name translates to “bone-eating snot flower.”

        1. That Paulo Bonifacio group does some interesting stuff. He replied to an image posted on Reddit to give credit to the electron microscope photographer. They call themselves “freelance scientists.” Heavy duty reports on polychaets lore with some sciency pictures. No muppets.
