So there I was, filling up the tank with paraffin, and I spotted a javalina hog. Great. Now I gotta go home dig a pit, build a fire and find some box springs. On the plus side, we won’t have to go to the butcher shop until November 2nd.
Speaking of November 2, a cordial commenter left a message here, and asked that we not discuss politics on this blog. Nevermind that we rarely do, as fewer than 6% of the posts have anything to do with politics, and that there are many other blogs that are much better at dissecting the bizarre nuances of the political arena than this one.
BUT
On November 2, we have the choice to either accept socialism as the norm in the United States of America, or we can choose to throw off the economic shackles of such a system of government. I choose the latter.
When there are political forces that claim to “level the playing field,” what they mean is that they wish to penalize those who succeed, rather than bring all the rest up to par with what we’ve become accustomed to.
What they don’t understand is that penalizing success creates an animosity toward those who are capable of raising the livelihood of those who “supposedly” cannot fend for themselves.
The wealthy create jobs. The poor create nothing. I won’t work for someone who can’t or won’t pay me. Would you? Of course not.
I am not wealthy. I run my own business. I’d like to have enough work that I need to hire people to help me. I don’t need government to generate work for me, but I really don’t need government to get in my way either, preventing me from earning an honest living, but that’s exactly what it has done.
This socialist-controlled congress has done more damage economically than any in the entire history of the United States of America, and it’s time we vote the C and D Students out.
Socialism has never made any country great, but the abandonment of socialism in favor of the free enterprise system created the the most prosperous country in the shortest amount of time in recorded history. Let’s not squander it.
