Badwater Basin is 282 ft. (855 m) below sea level, the lowest point in North America. Seasonal runoff water covers the salt flats of Lake Manly.

    1. Lot of photo bait in and around the Mojave. Fun roadtrip in the early spring when it’s blooming and the temperatures are chilly.

      I suddenly had a flashback – I recobanize your name from years ago, glad you’re still around. Weren’t you buddies with Planet Ross & Steamboat McGoo?

        1. Lotta great folks wandered off, intentionally or otherwise. Planetross had a blog (I Am The Cheese) that’s been dead for a long time. He went to Japan to teach English or something, then the nuclear plant in Kyoto got stupid and that’s the last I heard from him.
