I’ve always liked when Tom Waits pops up in movies … he’s never the leading man … just the misleading man usually.

plane– The missus and I saw a play in L.A. long ago featuring Bud Cort (Harold & Maude) and Carol Kane (“Simka Gravis” from Taxi) and Tom Waits. We spotted him in the outside bistro prior to the play, and he spotted me staring at him. He stared back x10.
Waits played a growling bartender: “Yeah, I’m busier than a set of jumper cables at a Puerto Rican wedding.”
