Homogeneous Diversification Hot Links

Sebastian Junger’s “The Perfect Storm” was one of the best books I ever read twice. The movie version was kinda okay, but it ignored significant details IMO.

  1. Bunk: I live in the Pacific NW. 20+ years ago 3 fishing boats left the town of Anacortes, WA for the Gulf of Alaska for commercial fishing. They never returned and all hands were lost. A book was written about this and, even though I have never read it, I’ve been told that the story and the writing are as good as, if not better, than the Perfect Storm. For the life of me I can’t remember the title of the work but I can find out if you’re interested. Strangely enough I used to work in Easterm MA about the time of The Perfect Storm. I may be an albatross.

  2. I’m heading down to Anacortes on Wed. and will be talking to some people that knew the fishermen involved. I’ll get the name of the book from them (hopefully).
