Lumi Bekteshi managed the Palms Grill Cafe in Atlanta, IL, and won two blue ribbons at the Illinois State Fair in 2009 after learning how to bake them only a few months earlier. Her husband, who owns the Country-Aire restaurant where the statue is located, wanted to celebrate her achievements. so he had the giant Lumi installed in 2024.
