15 September is Wash Your Hedgehog Day

by

Wash Your Hedgehog Day_A Problem Shared 090906

The procedure is obvious. First, get a Sharpie Pen and make lame pretend tattoos on your left forearm. Then, put two tablespoons of baking soda in a half-cup of warm water. Find a juvenile hedgehog, and instruct the little rascal about the importance of personal hygiene using your roommate’s toothbrush. (Don’t tell yer homedawg until the photo is posted all over the internest).

Blow-dry your hog on low setting and Enjoy.

We don’t have hedgehogs here in Tasmania, I may have to try & find an echidna. I’m sure my wife won’t mind me using her toothbrush for such a worthy cause

  2. S. Le Says:

Hilarious. Glad it’s not my toothbrush though.

  3. planetross Says:

Hedgehog! … it looks like a “sinkhog” to me!
Hey! there’s a line up for that thing!

  4. Bunk Strutts Says:

Tony– I think April 21 is Wash Your Echnida Day in NZ, but I can’t confirm it. I just remember that it’s in the spring.

S.Le– So you’d rather muck up someone else’s toothbrush instead? I wouldn’t have guessed that you’re one of THOSE people. 🙂

plane– How dirty do these little guys get?

  5. theliteraryhorse Says:

I’m one of THOSE people who think hedgehogs, porcupines, and tarantulas are adorable. What is driving me nuts is: why is there a jar of peanut butter on the sink?

  6. Bunk Strutts Says:

thelit– That’s not peanut butter. I think it’s coagulated vicodin.

  7. theliteraryhorse Says:

*whew* Thanks Bunk, that makes so much more sense. Old Vicodin = scrubbing your hedgehog with a toothbrush. Riddle solved.

  8. Bunk Strutts Says:

thelit– I have a knack for seeing things in B&W and cutting to the chase. There are no gray areas in my world.
