What A Crack Up.

When Planetross says there are a lot of bums near the train station, he’s not kidding.  I mean, just look at this maasterpiece.  The locals fondly refer to it as:

アメリカ人は、この記念碑でよく笑う。彼らはそれを面白いと思う。

Located at the rear end of the plaza, you pass the gas station.  It’s on the backside.  For best results, photograph this statue during a full moon while standing upwind.

The monument already had a lot of cracks in it by the time it was installed. It’s been said that the sculptor always gets behind in his work.

Not trying to be cheeky; it tookus no time at all to come up with these terrible buns. Butt I digrass… The title of this work o fart?

P.S.  I suppose that the steel hoops protecting the sculpture represent the Rings around Uranus.  Yeah, I know.  I just had to say it.

James Burke’s excellent series “Connections” is required viewing. Here’s Part 3 of Episode 1.  I’d forgotten about the show until Mr. GAB reminded me.

The Ocapellos were the greatest singing group ever if only because Frank Zappa took their song “The Stars” and mooshed it into “Fountain of Love,” recorded as Ruben & the Jets.

Wave of the future past…

This is sad in a no-respect kinda way.  Looks like a big ol honkin’ no-respectin’ raven head.

This prolly wouldn’t bother me so much if I knew that it was made from 45’s of the Archies, the Ohio Express, or even Tommy Roe. 33’s of the Royal Guardsmen’s greatest hits wouldn’t bother me either.

BUT somewhere in this sculpture might be the last surviving copy of Big Don Petrucci & the Solid Voidz’  “Carbona Mona (got her lights on me).”

What a shame.

I feel like this a lot.  Okay, sometimes.  Alright, rarely do I feel like this, but occasionally I do, and this is exactly what it feels like.  Sorta.  (Note the mouth mice.) Yeah, sometimes I get mouse mouth, too.
