PS Ya’ gotta’ get a “Oyster Po-Boy” at the ACME Oyster House!!!
PPS and Salute “Andy” in th Square… if it wasn’t for him and Jean Lafitte the Privateer.. you’d paying your takes to King George’s descendant’s!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn’t go to NO for anything especially Mardi Gras. It’s better & safer where Mardi Gras started, Mobile Alabama. And I still won’t go downtown & it’s only a couple of miles away.
The place always had a reputation for trouble, especially in and around the French Quarter, and it got worse post-Katrina.
Re: Mobile – I’m more familiar with Dauphin Island, Or was. It’s been nailed by a couple of hurricanes since I was last there.
P.S. Mardi Gras began in Europe. 😀

Been in NOLA a couple times, never ON Mardi Gras, but a few weeks prior. That was nuts enough for me. Fun as hell, too.
