Jaws

by

No explanation for this apparatus was found at the source, but it appears to be a dealie for some giant ape-goes-berserk movie of long ago. If anyone has more info, drop a line in the comments.

[Found here.]

[Update 14 April 2010– Peter found the source, a 1940 issue of Popular Mechanics. See the comments for the link.]

Peter– You rock. Take the rest of the week off.

  3. Gorilla Man Says:

Hey there – if you’re curious about the apparatus, you can check out my post at Gorilla Men. The mechanism is part of a gorilla suit mask that was identified by a cohort of mine as belonging to a suit used in TARZAN, THE APE MAN. Not the most comfortable looking device!

  4. Bunk Strutts Says:

Gorilla Man– Actually I did earlier, and your post takes it a step beyond the Popular Mechanics article. Great stuff, that.
