Drop That Sack, Papa Charlie Jackson (1925) Papa Charlie Jackson (1887-1938) provided a bridge between ragtime and blues, and has the distinction of being one of the creators of “Hokum” – songs filled with sexual euphemisms and innuendo (Drop That Sack is one).
