The Black Hole (UK, 2008) is a short film starring Napoleon Ryan and a hole, directed by Phil Sampson and Olly Williams (Phil and Olly) who may or may not have been fans of Warner Bros. cartoons.

The Henrik Freischlader Trio plays some damn good funkified blues. Freischlader is a German blues guitarist, singer-songwriter, producer, and self-taught multi-instrumentalist from Wuppertal, Germany.
Gary Hoey was in diapers when the Chantays recorded their 1962 classic, and he rips it up with respect.
Way too much happened this past week. I think some of the sensory overload is intentional and unnecessary, but we’ll cope.

My youngest was friends with Bob Welch’s daughter until I found out he was buying weed and alcohol for 13 and 14 year old girls and partying with them.
I remember Pipeline from my younger days. Liked the tune.

I have an original pressing of the Chantays’ first album, bought it at a garage sale when I was in my teens. They were from Santa Ana, none of them surfed, and the oldest was 17 when Pipeline was released.

I pounded on the door but nobody answered. Sent my oldest to knock and he was happy to answer for her. She’s the one told me there were roaches and empty bottles all over. I called the cops but nothing ever came of it. The daughter has done 2 prison terms already.
