Bunkessa suggested I post Claude Fontaine. Nice stereotypical reggae groove, but her fake wispy voice kinda turns me off.
I’d rather hear this.
Jerry Reed was a hoot.
Then something happened on 4 May 1970 and a bunch of morons chimed in, like these guys:
Took me a long time to realize that CSN&Y were nothing more than a bunch of musically talented idiots.
See you back here tomorrow.

They were talented, but if a group of antiwar protesters are
facing off against armed national guardsmen, whoever shot
bullets in the air or set off M80s were responsible for those
deaths. Every guardsman at the scene testified under oath
that they heard what sounded like gunfire.
Innocent prank gone bad or the work of a provocateur, who
knows but a bad thing happened that day and we will never
know the cause.

Leonard–
The entire protest was orchestrated by agitators from out of state and the problems were exacerbated by the responses of local law enforcement and the governor of the State of Ohio (who called in the National Guard). A number of placid universities were considered, but Kent State was chosen.
IIRC, two arson attempts on the ROTC building failed until a cameraman suggested slashing the fire hoses prior to a third attempt. That’s when it burned to the ground.
BTW, Taylor Hall, the architecture building adjacent to the famous “pagoda” has been torn down and replaced with a larger facility.
