Saturday Matinee – A.J. Fullerton & Kevin Ott, Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse, and The Courettes

Originally from Colorado, A.J. Fullerton is an American roots rock guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer, and was named one of “75 Modern Blues & Blues Rock Artists You Must Hear 2021” by Blues Muse Magazine.
Born in Montana, raised in California, Kevin Ott is a prolific composer, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and author based in the U.S.

Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse is a roots rock blues Americana country soul punk psychobilly band from California, featuring vocals by documentary filmmaker, television producer, business entrepreneur and Louisiana native Greta “Gris Gris” Valenti.

Dubbed The World’s Greatest Two Person Rock ‘N’ Roll Ensemble,  Flavia & Martin Couri, aka The Courettes, make vintage rock new again.

News on Parade: Hoser smoke is enveloping much of the US midwest, fire and brimstone is raining on Iran, and Venezuelans are suffering the aftermath of the earthquakes. The MSM and social media spun out because the POTUS dared to utter the words “election fraud.” A rainstorm flooded streets, parking lots and buildings in Cincinnati; the meat storage warehouse in Boyle Heights, CA still smells like rotting death a month after the fire, and it was only 87 degrees in our hallway today.

We now return to our regularly scheduled porch time at whenever o’clock tomorrow pm. BTOBS.

Saturday Matinee – The Courettes, The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio & Mia Dyson

Dubbed The World’s Greatest Two Person Rock ‘N’ Roll Ensemble, Flavia & Martin Couri, aka The Fabulous Courettes, are proof that Phil Spector lives.

The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio (aka DLO3) grooves it
Delvon Lamarr – Hammond B3 organ
Jabrille “Jimmy James” Williams – guitar
David McGraw – drums

Australian singer, songwriter and guitarist Mia Dyson was raised in a musical family near Daylesford and later Torquay. Influenced by her father, Jim Dyson, a blues guitarist and luthier who crafted her first guitar, she’s now considered one of Australia’s top 25 guitarists.

Got some unexpected good news this week, but you gotta wait a bit. I’ll do a brief write up soonish, or you can stop by the porch tomorrow and I’ll bring you up to speed. See you whenever.

Saturday Matinee – The Courettes, The Holophonics & Dan Patlansky

Dubbed The World’s Greatest Two Person Rock ‘N’ Roll Ensemble, Flavia & Martin Couri, aka The Courettes, make retro new again. Hop hop.

The Holophonics are a ska punk reggae band with members from New York City, Dallas/Ft. Worth & Southern California. At least they have a Facebook page.

This trio consists of Dan Patlansky / guitar & vocals, Tom Schwan / bass and Ben Matthews / drums. Patlansky is a blues guitarist from South Africa, was voted the No. 4 Best Guitarist in the world. He’s the only artist with two worldwide No. 1 and two No. 2 Best Blues Rock album awards as voted by Blues Rock Review.

Been another week full of Time Flies and I still haven’t figured out how to slow them down. I plan to be up at the crack of noon tomorrow for porch time and we can discuss our options then. See you when you get here.

Saturday Matinee – The Courettes, Mr. Sipp & Ry Cooder

Dubbed The World’s Greatest Two Person Rock ‘N’ Roll Ensemble, Flavia & Martin Couri, aka The Fabulous Courettes, are proof that Phil Spector lives.

Castro Coleman, aka Mr. Sipp is smooth. A recipient of many prestigious awards, Castro was the first bluesman to have his handprint inducted into the Wall of Fame in Fredrikshavn, Denmark.

The master of roots blues slide guitar, Ry Cooder gets all swampy whenever he wants to, and that’s fine with me. Mo swampy mo betta.

Yep, another week has gone by and I don’t miss it already. See you back here tomorrow at whenever o’clock sharp.
