Springfield’s Finest

In late 2023, graphic designer “Princess_Prompt” threw The Simpsons characters into an AI image generator to see  how well it responded to text prompts:

“I wanted to imagine what a live action series of The Simpsons could look like in the flesh in an ’80s style, the era of their birth. As a fan of The Simpsons and Matt Groening’s work since childhood, I found them to be the ideal subject for experimentation.”

Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town, The Harmony Grits (1959) When The Drifters were fired by their manager after an incident at the Apollo Theater, they were immediately replaced by members of The 5 Crowns. Clyde McPhatter had begun a solo career, so the others, Gerhard and Andrew Thrasher with Bill Pinkney and Little David Baughan(?) formed The Harmony Grits, as their former manager owned rights to The Drifters name.  They recorded two songs before renaming themselves The Original Drifters. [More on the story here.]

Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town was first recorded by Harry Reser and His Orchestra, with vocal by Tom Stacks (1934).

The First A.I. Thanksgiving

According to Deep Dream Generator, no European colonists were present at The First Thanksgiving  but the locals had plenty of pumpkins and raw quail to eat.

Spiny Stuff

Bunkessa had an x-ray recently. I messed with it.

Colorized with Palette, sharpened with an old PhotoSuite 4.0 program, then ran it through Deep Dream Generator.

Brown Acid

So I was looking for an illustration to go with a story about the Little League World Series for posting on another website, and started with Charlie Brown. The pic was kind of boring by itself, and I wondered what the AI Deep Dreams Generator might come up with. Lower right is the cumulative result. Trip city.
