Norwegian Woof

“Ja, kjære. Jeg kommer til å få en pakke sigaretter og et par øl. Jeg vil se deg neste uke. Hvis jeg ikke er tilbake på søndag, spise en røyskatt for kveldsmat.”

Saturday Matinee – Cold Capybara, Doodles in Math Class & Miles Davis

When a capabara clicks and huffs, it’s angry and this one is really pissed at the snow.

The Utoobage videos entitled “Doodling In Math Class” are pure awesome. This one relates the Golden Rectangle and irrational number Phi to botany.

Miles Davis, live in Munich 1988. I saw him in the early 80s, and the performance was amazing. Nice groove here.

Late posting this – got kind of busy with other stuff last night. Have a great weekend, see ya tomorrow.

The .Gif Friday Post No.162 – Red Panda, Dogsleds, Wayback Machine

[Found here, here and here. The Wayback Machine doesn’t work unless you click on it. Why? I don’t know, Babs, but I do know this. It’s too late to find a replacement.]

Out of Beer?

This is the very essence of hope: scraping all the ice and snow off with a credit card and hoping you can drive it out of the drift. We all know why he’s going to all that trouble, too, don’t we?

Pretty picture, nonetheless. [Found here.]

Cold Enough For Ya?

The second foto is of an Ohio lighthouse on Lake Erie after a recent storm. I’m not sure about the others. [Found in here, here and here.]

A Must See Holiday Movie

This has been sitting around for a while in our What To Do With Box, and although I’m sure I posted it elsewhere, it’s still in my list of top flicks to see.

It’s got everything you want in an action movie: a pretty oriental nurse with a threatening heart-stopping hypodermic needle, cows and albino goats,  snow and subtitles.  Once I find out where it’s showing, you’ll be the first to know.

The Original Pointer Sisters

Plastic face protection from snowstorms. Canada, Montreal, 1939, and they were apparently available in two sizes, regular and deluxe. For some reason, this comes to mind. G’head. Click it.
