Great watercolor paintings of scenes from war-torn Afghanistan by British illustrator Matthew Cook. [Kudos to TR reader Nikolay Kotev for posting it.]

If you haven’t seen the vid posted here, it’s worth the 15 minutes. An OWS boy learns about collectivism from someone who lived in Soviet Russia… and he LISTENS.

Orlando Florida, home of Disney World, Epcot Center, and these pretty people.

Give your kids nightmares the easy way. Buy these. Sin duda todos estaremos de acuerdo en que el mejor sitio es delante de la taza del váter.

The latin name for it is Blobimus Maximus.

Any of you on Twitter? I am, but only for the purposes of collecting followers with the promise of tweeting absolutely no content. 20 or so get the joke. I haven’t “followed” anyone, yet I’ve been pre-blocked and reported as a spammer by some.
Think about that.

This a must read for everyone. We’re talking Freedom of Speech.

20 May: Everybody Draw Mohammed Day & The 1st Amendment

That is an image cut and pasted from an Iranian website and it’s a depiction of the Prophet Mohammed.

Not too long ago, a cartoonist posted a sarcastic cartoon, and she became the target of death threats. Real threats, not imagined. She got seriously spooked and backed off, but others took up her cause. Why should anyone in the blogosphere need to cower to those who want to squelch the Freedom of Speech?

So in support of The First Amendment, here’s my contribution to Everybody Draw Mohammed Day.

UPDATE 3 October 2021: Swedish artist who survived two murder attempts after drawing a cartoon of the Muslim Prophet Mohammed has died in a horror car crash. Lars Vilks, 75, was killed Sunday when the police car he was traveling in veered onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a truck. [LINK]

Fox Sluts on Parade?

This amuses me. These are the “Foxes 4 Sexual Freedom.” Really.

Last year there was a protest of something or other that was dissected by a well-known but mysterious photo journalist named Zombie. He/she infiltrates and photographs bizarre oddities of the far left fringes of society. That image is from a San Francisco Slut Walk on 6 August 2011.

[Link and story is hilarious, but NSFK.]

The .Gif Friday Post No.227 – Water Nymph, Fashion Ghost & REDЯUMp

[Found here, here and here.]

That REDЯUMp .gif belongs to jaw-dropper Christina Hendricks. We’re told she had a birthday yesterday, May 3rd.

[An aside: Today is the 42nd Anniversary of something that went down on May 4th 1970, and it’s eerily similar to what’s going down today. Pay attention.]

*Poof* You’re a hoagy.

[via RSM]
Hard to tell who she’s addressing with that sign while waddling in a parade of fugliness. I guess one of the other javelinas demanded a snack and Ms. Cerdita Hambrienta was having none of it, perhaps because the L.A. “We Have Vajayjays And You Don’t” protest march had yet to make it to the trough.

Nuge Of The World

Ted Nugent, a Michigan-born conservative who has endorsed Obama’s presumed Republican challenger in the November elections, Mitt Romney, drew Secret Service attention with his blunt remarks about Obama and administration officials at the NRA event.

“We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November,” Nugent said at the convention.

U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman of the Democratic National Convention, responded earlier this week, saying “threatening violence – or whatever it is that Nugent’s threatening – is clearly beyond the pale.” [via]

In response to Wasserman-Schultz, Nugent was typically blunt and to the point.

“Now what you gotta do, I’ll tell you what you gotta do You got to pretend your face is a Maserati It’s a Maserati It’s a Maserati It’s a gettin’ hotty It’s a Maserati, Maserati, Maserati It’s a fast one too man, that thing’s turbocharged You feel like a little fuel injection honey? I’ll tell ya about it, I’ll tell you about it I gotta get that hood scoop off, shine and shine and buff I’ll check out the hood scoop I gotta buff it up, buff it up, buff it up, buff it up, buff it up, Yeah, shiny now baby, heh heh heh You’ve been drivin’ all night long It’s time to put the old Maserati away.”

[Update: Photo in the screen cap was misidentified.
It is not Ted Nugent, it is Sammy Hagar. – Bunk.]

[Update II: Although the above is mostly snark, this is not. h/t RoL.]

It Made Me Laugh

A lot of things have been going down outside of Tacky Raccoons that I’m involved with, and that screencap made me laugh on a number of levels. (Yeah, it’s a screencap, not a photoshop. Click on it.)

After the untimely death of Andrew Breitbart, some of his close friends and co-workers decided to do a 24 hour dj marathon, via Twitter, consisting of songs that they liked. I came in late to the show, and found that @Liberty_Chick posted the Tubes’ “Mondo Bondage.” There was some funny convergence that popped up on the screen.

I can’t explain it all here, but it has to do with Andrew Breitbart, this, and some other things I am involved with elsewhere just for fun.

That .png image at top has so many built-in contradictions and subtle innuendo that I thought it was worth a post. If you get it, great – pass it on. If you don’t, we’ll have something entirely different tomorrow.

Cosmic Slop

“Space Traders” was produced by HBO films and is based on a short story writhed by Prof. Derrick Bell, Barack Obama’s Harvard Law professor. Big Hollywood: “Bell eventually resigned from Harvard in 1992, and continued to stir controversy. He wrote a short story, “The Space Traders,” in which he imagined that Americans would sell blacks to aliens in exchange for gold to repay the national debt. He also implied that Jews would help blacks only out of a sense of self-preservation, turning Holocaust victim and diarist Anne Frank into “the symbol of Jewish hypocrisy.””

And, yeah, that’s the head of George Clinton, Commander of The Mothership, presented for amusement purposes only.

R.I.P. Andrew Breitbart

“Bunk! Andrew Breitbart’s on the phone!”

I had the pleasure of talking with Andrew on the phone a few times last summer. Good guy who is already missed.

Nice tribute from Iowahawk here.

Robert Stacy McCain has a good send off, as does longtime friend Michael Walsh.

Patterico‘s got one, too.

Andrew Breitbart exposed and publicized so much hypocrisy, egregious fraud, blatant governmental/bureaucratic corruption and malfeasance that one would think that he’d be a hero to all, regardless of one’s political affiliation, JUST FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING.

That he’s not recognized for those contributions by all is a travesty.

In October 2011, Andrew Breitbart called into a podcast aired by The Blogmocracy to talk about Charles Johnson. (Johnson was a once prominent blogger who decided to turn on many of his former friends and allies, Breitbart being one of them.) Here is a brief of what went down:

Everything leading up to that interview was pure awesome. Once The Boiler Room Crew had the archives of ALL of Charles Johnson’s comments on LGF, on a whim I emailed Breitbart to see if he was interested in them. He emailed back within minutes. “Call me.”

So I did. I told him about DoD and what the BRC had done, and he was laughing. A couple of phone calls and emails later, I mentioned the upcoming Blogmocracy Radio podcast and asked him if he’d like to call in to talk about CJ or anything else. He was interested.

The day of the show was nerve wracking. We couldn’t announce the “Special Guest” ahead of time without confirmation, so I emailed him just in case he’d changed his mind.

He responded with two words: “I’m in.”

At that point we went into promo mode, but we still couldn’t say who the “Guest” was going to be – we didn’t want the lizards clogging up the BlogMockRadio switchboard and giving m a bunch of crap.

If you listen to the first few minutes of the show [full unedited archive here] you can tell that Savage and Rodan were nervous, not knowing if and when Andrew would call in. Once he did, it was a blast.

Thanks Andrew.
