A red cottage stands on a small hill. Seen from afar it appears in good shape there among the bushes, but closer up one sees the boarded windows and rotted steps. The people have gone.
I peek in through the window. Inside it looks lived in. People have left their mark: wrinkled rag rugs, things on the table and on the edge of the toppled fireplace. Toys and tops of cooking pots strewn across the floor, a torn bag in the corner. As for the current occupants, sand and dry hay, chewed items and the path under the stove tell of them.
The cottage is being used by badgers…
Eventually we’ll get around to posting vids just for The Squeamish, but until then, have a great weekend folks. See you back here tomorrow, assuming you’re not squeamish.
We’ve been posting Cyriak Harris‘ odd .gif animations occasionally for years without knowing that he was the original source. I never connected them with the videos that Bunkarina turned me onto (like “Cows and Cows and Cows“). The guy is brilliantly talented and one of the most entertaining animation artists I’ve seen since Terry Gilliam.
All three .gifs from Cyriak’s jawdropping website: here, here and here.
I’d love to see a vid with a surfeit of skunks circling overhead and dropping into this dude’s lawn just to see what he does. Check out all the pelts stacked up on the side of his house. The guy’s a pro.
