It was a bit breezy, and yes, there was a shark attack and a giant bottle opener.

Its in the city of Kristinehamn in Sweden.
I live here and was here when it happend. Never experienced such wind.

Sounds like one of the Nordic Storms of 2013 when the region was pounded by hurricane-force winds. [Image and comment found here.]

Nothing Much Happened Today.

Yeah, I know it went viral yesterday, but so what. That’s the first time I saw it (and I reposted it just like everyone else did, except at least I linked my sources). Besides that, it’s still an awesome pic.

When I was a teenager I witnessed a “small” tornado that passed about a mile or so away from our house. Hail was raining down, sky was black with clear orange sky underneath, the funnel was a churning slow-moving mass of brown with no distinct edges. Next thing I recall is my dad grabbing me by the collar and throwing me into the basement where we hunkered down and listened to the static on the AM transistor radio.

The following day I drove to the neighborhood that took the hit. One side of the road was untouched, but the other was all splinters.

Congratulations to President Trump.

It will take years to clean up the national and global messes created and promulgated by his predecessor and the Democrat Party. May his decisions be wise, the results productive, and may we become a more prosperous nation for all. God Bless America.

[1st & 3rd .gifs found here and here. I stitched the 2nd together from here and here and modified them for snark only.]

Miami Blows.

Miami 16 June 2016

“Dude. GTFO. That’s my spot.” Then it happened. The wind kicked up and Miami started raining furniture.

This is the incredible moment chairs and furniture where whipped into the air by ferociously high winds in Miami. Patio chairs and sun loungers can be seen flying through the sky as the fierce storm scoops them up and flings them from a high rise building in the Floridian city.

“And Now For The Weather…”

This is what happens when you post a link to a $23 dress on Amazon to a female meteorologist Facebook group.

It’s Hot. Real Hot.

Shade Cats

It’s hot

It’s so hot, I saw a dog chasing a cat and they were both walking. It’s so hot, I saw two fire hydrants fighting over a dog. It’s so hot, the potholes in were filling themselves with asphaltic runoff. It’s so hot, kids are carving their initials in train tracks – with bamboo. It’s so hot, my eyeglasses updated my prescription. It’s so hot, the incandescent bulbs feel cool to the touch. It’s so hot, the sidewalks are on strike and demanding more eggs. It’s so hot, I didn’t have to trim my nose hair. It’s so hot, we had to fire up the grill just to cool the patio.

It’s still hot.

Pendula Demonstration

“Welcome to Kansas: Not as Flat as Delaware!”

How to multiply numerals with multiple digits graphically. Very cool. Now I can get rid of my TI Datamath.

Sorry to have to state the obvious, but the people who marched for “Climate Change” are idiots.

Interesting timelapse of Arizona weather [via].

Planets inside water droplets.

A Tribute to Pugsley Addams.

Very cool audio/visual display of pendulum motion [via]. Visual demo of sound waves, mathematical sine wave congruences, electronics, physics, gravity, art and bowling all in one. Surprising stuff happens about 1:00 in. There’s medical info in the video as well – one of the kids has whooping cough. I haven’t heard that sound since I was in 3rd grade. [A screencap of the video is the source of the top image.]
