The DeMoulin Bros. Co. supplied hazing equipment for fraternal organization initiations in the early 1900s. Some of the gaffes were truly bizarre.
Apparently the company is out of the fraternity prank business and has moved onto other products: scary marching band uniforms.

The “We Five” had this awesome hit in 1965, a cover of Ian & Sylvia‘s song “You Were On My Mind.”
Sylvia Fricker supposedly wrote it in a bathtub in Greenwich Village in 1962. Yeah it’s lip-synched, but it’s still fun as hell. One of these days I need to find out who the lead guitar on the left is because he rocks.

The Clash‘ “Charlie Don’t Surf” was not featured in the 1979 movie “Apocalypse Now” as it was recorded a year later for their 3-record album “Sandinista!“
When their earlier LP London Calling was released in 1980, critics said that Springsteen’s upcoming double-disc album The River would outsell the Clash effort and wipe away any impact. Joe Strummer‘s response was: “Right Bruce. Suck on this!” The band then expanded Sandinista! into a triple album.
The song was based on a quote from the movie, and the groove is a good one.

Edwin Starr lip-synched the classic song “War” in 1969. Good God, y’all. Originally recorded by The Temptations, their version was squelched and re-recorded with Starr on vocals. It made No.1 on the charts in 1970, and was one of 161 songs on the Clear Channel no-play list after September 11, 2001 according to Wiki.
Nobody wants war except our enemies, and to ignore their stated intents and stated goals is fatal. Seems to me that if they want to kill all of us, all Jews, all of Western Civilization, we’re going to have a very long fight.

Anyone know who these guys were? I’m guessing mid-late 1920s, tried to identify the trumpet player with no luck. The clarinet/baritone sax player is the only one wearing spats, so he may be the band leader.
