Abandoned 3D Graffito

[Found here.]

Mom would have loved this had I painted it in her basement, but only after she kicked my ass upstairs one step at a time.

Thanks for kicking my ass, Mom. We’re gonna miss you.

Off-Season Iditarod Dogs

That’s Ted, and he’s interviewed in “Profiles in Tenacity: Get To Know An Iditarod Sled Dog.”

Saturday Matinee – Willie Dixon, Stones, Gatemouth Brown

Willie Dixon’s “Nervous.” (Dixon was one of the most prolific bluesmen of his time, and was a stutterer in real life, rarely sang because of it.)

“19th Nervous Breakdown” is a cool limp synch by the Anti-Beatles.

Gatemouth Brown was awesome, played Texas blues/swing with finesse and class.

Short post for Saturday as I’m out of town. See you back here tomorrow with more BoogedyBoogedy.

The .Gif Friday Post No.205 – Varney’s Troll Face, Happy Corgi, Penguin Rocks

[Found here and here, and the Ernest P. Worrell/Trollface morph is my own experiment.]

Bikers Welcome

“I realize that clowns make some people uneasy & that’s ok. I’m not judging. If you can’t handle looking at clowns, there is always the cemetery across the parking lot.”

Pure awesome. Just the thought of clowns on Harleys makes me smile. I can only imagine the sounds they make rolling into town:

*PHBBBBBBBBBBBBBBT* *GLUBGLUBGLUBGLUBGLUB* *BUUUUUUUUURRRRRRP* *BOOGEDYBOOGEDYBOOGEDY* *WOOPWOOPWOOPWOOPWOOP*

7 December 1941 – Remember Always.

…and deliver us from evil.

Those words are as poignant today as when the Lord’s Prayer was written, apropos in 1941, and especially applicable in the long aftermath of 911.

May God Bless the souls who gave their lives in voluntary sacrifice; and May God Bless the living who selflessly protect our Country from those who wish us dead.

Saturday Matinee – Goose Parade, Bimbo’s Initiation, Jurassic Snark, Kitty Town, Allman Bros.

[Found here.]

Bimbo was Betty Boop’s boyfriend/dog pal back when Betty was still a dog in a miniskirt. (Note that Mickey Mouse shows up to mess with Bimbo at 00:28. The Fleisher Bros. were Disney’s closest competitor in the animation business at the time.)

The Best Of Jurassic Park That You Don’t Recall. [via]

Welcome to Kitty Town.

The Allman Brothers’ “Jessica” is one of the great country rock jams. Seems appropriate, since I’ve got a bit of traveling coming up next week.

Have a great weekend, folks, and be back here tomorrow for more hot muffins from the internest.
